The Stoana Alm snack station, 1055 metres below the peak, is reached by a small path that climbs steadily through meadows, past cows, through a small wood and sometimes along the road. Those who then enjoy the Tyrolean specialities there, sometimes with handmade music, will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the valley. After the ascent, quench your deserved thirst with a spritzer of elderberry, the elder juice, and enjoy the simple, tasty and rich dishes that make up for the calories burned during the ascent: spinach dumplings with parmesan and sage and Kaspressknoedel with cabbage, run and served by Carmen Krämer, are made from breadcrumbs and cheese from the region and flattened. If you can, we recommend the wonderful curd cheese strudel with raisins. This hop strudel is the subject of a competition between the Stoana and the Wildbach Alm, who is the better – we tend towards the Stoana.
At the end of Sachrang you park on the parking lot Reichenau and start from there the hiking trail Bayern-Tirol. You need about 1 hour for the easy ascent.
